Get ready to be scared! This issue's SPOTLIGHT is a dark one with things
that go bump in the night! Why?

Halloween arrives at the conclusion of this issue's time frame, so I decided to
devote the entire SPOTLIGHT to art that causes goose flesh and nightmares.
Artists, after all, have often been responsible for expressing our darkest fears.
Being scared is part of the human condition. It's Time To Get Scared is the
title. Read it if you dare!
I am extremely pleased to announce my latest book entitled,
The Book of Observations...A Schwartz Shirts Companion.
As many readers of this journal know by now, I've been
including my written observations in each issue. What some
of you may not know, however, is that the observations I've
included are just a very small sampling of my observations
featured on the Schwartz Shirts website.

The Schwartz Shirts website is my online "nightclub" act
and is intended for mature readers. As such, some people
may find some of my observations a bit risqué. I, however,
see them as being artistic expressions of my desire to make
some kind of sense out of life, share these perspectives,
and have a few laughs in the process.

While it is true that my observations featured on the
Schwartz Shirts website and in the book are different from
my other forms of artistic expression, I'm not being boastful
when I say that I am a multi-talented artist who can chew
gum and skip at the same time. My observations are
simply another side of me.

You can find all the details about the book as well as
information on how to order your own copy on the
I will close with observation number 182 from the website:

"Depending upon your perspective, the universe is infinitely ancient or just beginning."

Until we connect again...
